Marilyn said to Einstein, with charming honesty: “You and I could have children: I would enhance my beauty and your intelligence.” To which the father of relativity and the atomic bomb replied: “Maybe it comes out with my beauty and with your intelligence.” It is known (tests were made later), that Marilyn Monroe’s IQ was 165, five points above “the greatest genius of all time”.

Marilyn Monroe (Norma Jeane Baker, 1926-1962), was a great reader. She had a library in her house with about a thousand books. She spent hours reading works of literature, poetry, theater, philosophy, because her spirit, in addition to her great will to live, had an insatiable curiosity and thirst for knowledge.

Some beautiful quotes from this great woman are:

  1. One of the best things that ever happened to me is that I am a woman. That’s what all women should feel.
  1. People started saying she was a lesbian. I smiled. There is no wrong sex if there is love in it.
  2. Dogs do not bite. Only humans.

  4. Laugh when you’re sad. Winning is too easy.

  8. Being a sex symbol is a heavy burden to carry, especially when one is tired, hurt, and confused.
  9. It’s better to be alone than unhappy with someone.
  10. Imperfection is beauty, stupidity is genius. It’s better to be silly than boring. 12. Disappointment opens eyes and closes hearts.
  11. I’m a little girl in a big world trying to find someone to love.
  12. Sex is part of nature. And I have a wonderful time with nature.
  13. I never leave anyone I trust.
  14. I never cheat on anyone. Sometimes I let men cheat on themselves.
  15. If I followed all the rules, I would never get anywhere.
  16. It is easier to love a man than to live with him.
  17. Keep your head up, chin up, keep smiling, because life is a beautiful thing and there is a lot to smile about.

History has shown us over and over again how amazing women are. Not just the scholars we have learned about, but people we would least expect, because of their assumed persona.

People like Hedy Lamarr, however, was an actress and mathematician who invented frequency-hopping spread spectrum (FHSS), a technology that’s still used in WiFi and Bluetooth.

Lucy Ball, first female to own a studio. Brought the world the science fiction phenomenon Star Trek, and so much more.

Women are capable of so much. We should truly embrace our roles of strength and knowledge.

Having been raised in a all female lead house. My grandmama, my aunts, and my mom, all strong, confident, beautiful, and extremely intelligent women. I come from Doctors, Teachers, Nurses, Entertainers, Executives and more. I was raised knowledge is power, beauty is empathy, grace is compassion. Strength is a combination of listening, and having a voice.

I love reading stories about women who break barriers and and shatter preconceived notions and concepts.
