This is unbelievably sad. We as a human race must take action. We cannot allow others to use chemical warfare on their own or others. Its savage, barbaric, and cowardly.
I agree that the use of chemical weapons is a crime against humanity. What should our response be?
Last night I participated in an “electronic town hall” with my Congressman. I posed this question to the call screener – The congressman supports a strike upon Syria of limited scope and duration. Only 30 or 60 days, 90 max. He says this is not a war. He says that this would send a message that no nation should ever use chemical weapons. I agree. But, what about the fact that our own government used depleted uranium in Iraq, and napalm & agent orange in Vietnam? What would the congressman call it if some nation decided to bomb the US in a limited strike of 30, 60 or max 90 says, in order to send a message to us?
For some reason, I never had to ask my question live to the Congressman.
It is horrible to target civilians. It is terrorism. What should our response be?

We must send a message. What happened in the past is exactly that, the past. The key is to learn from all, and by that I mean everyone’s mistakes, and make decisions for now and the best decisions we can make for the future.
No will ever get it perfect, but we can collectively become better. That would be the point of a “response” now. While we can intercede and possibly prevent a massive genocide.
We have to try. That is something almost every country is in agreement about. I believe as humans, most of us agree, killing children, women, and elderly by chemicals is unacceptable. Killing men as well, especially your own, by chemical. This is where it finally must stop. For EVERYONE’S SAKE, EVERYWHERE.
