So, after some close observation of food trends It seems the flavor of this fall is “Beer”, particularly “Ales”…The darks to the lights. Various Beer Soups, marinades, salts, sauces, mixed drinks, desserts, and etc. Particularly, earthy deep ales. Just add cheese and/or bacon and I’m pretty certain, it’s a food group.
I’ve even seen beer coffees. The Ales, have brought a new rich earthy Zen. When paired with fall spices, from pumpkin to cumin or fall fruits, “beer ales” are where it’s at. Plus, the fizz makes all airy. Great in bread. Stews? Fondues? Steak marinade? Light blonde ale fish cream sauce? Yep!
