“Here’s to the crazy ones — the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things. They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.” – Steve Jobs
I believe we can all change the world, and for me it starts by changing me. Reminding myself always to be who I truly am, a person who not only thinks outside the box, but one who believes there never was a box. Thus, my possibilities are endless.
It was brought to my attention that one of my childhood friends worked with a team of people to help create this great saying. We’ve been going back and forth on Facebook and here are some of the things I said.
” I absolutely love this saying. It directly applies to me in so many ways. I always say, and it has become one of my quotes, “I don’t just think outside of the box, I never believed there was one. My possibilities are endless”. If you look at my life and actions and adventures as a whole or segments, I truly embody that.
Once again, great job to you and your team. It hit home. =-)”
“I think it’s because I’m pretty fearless, very adventurous, and inquisitive, I never thought of life having limitations. I would say if I had a fear it would be my fear of what to do next. It never occurs to me I could fail. So very seldom have I. Even then, I persevere and eventually succeed. I think wiser, and deliberately til I succeed. It never occurs to me I could get hurt. So I usually try any new adventure that interest me. I tend to have a fear of no one, so I meet amazing people. I’m slightly eccentric, very methodical to a fault, and have no value on money or items other than to survive. Those things do not impress me. What I value the most is substance, and time. The quality of a person’s heart and mind, and time. I believe in giving 110% and more to every one, not because I have to, but because I want to. I want them to know that when I’m with them in any capacity, they matter to me.
I’ve been teased and even insulted and told my kindness must be fake. I didn’t even know how to reply to that. I am kind because I love, respect, learn, from everyone, even if I don’t agree with them. Most importantly, I forgive and put every one in God’s hands. Thus, my natural demeanor.
So, I’ve been called a beautiful freak, a nerd, a geek, a super rah rah person. I’ve been bullied for being me, or being nice. It’s all good, because I had and have an amazing life full of adventure and sharing.
Thus, this statement touches me and so many other amazing people I know. Including you Ms. Beautiful.”
